Health and Welfare

In Finland, the health care of university students is mainly delegated to Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS), a foundation providing affordable, even free services. In addition, students are entitled to use the services provided by the health centers in their place of domicile. These usually come in handy when the local FSHS clinic is closed.
Yet, welfare is much more than a functional health care system! The Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä wants to support the welfare of its members by advocating sexual and racial equality on campus and in the wider society alike. If you become a victim or a witness of bullying or harassment, you are more than welcome to talk to JYY’s harassment contact persons.
