Part of the international sector of the Student Union is the local section of Erasmus Student Network. ESN JYY arranges common activities for foreign and Finnish students, such as trips, excursions, courses, theme nights and parties.
ESN also coordinates the Buddy Program, which brings Finnish and international students together into groups of “buddies”. The Stammtisch nights of restaurant Rentukka are another fantastic way to meet students from several different countries. The Stammtisch takes place every other Thursday.
In addition, ESN organizes Café Lingua meetings where students get to have conversations in different languages and play board games. Café Lingua is held every third Monday in the Ilokivi cafeteria. Stay up to speed by joining the ESN JYY Facebook group or keeping an eye on their website!
