The Subcommittee for International Affairs consists of both Finnish and international students. Nevertheless, the main focus of the meetings is foreign degree students and how they see the world of university and the world in general. The subcommittee examines the effects internationalization has on the University of Jyväskylä, the standing of foreign students in Jyväskylä and Finland in general, student exchange and free education, just to give a few examples.
The subcommittee develops and executes new ways to promote internationality and tolerance on campus, and gives help and support to international students in matters related to studying, income, job hunting and opportunities to influence. The subcommittee also organizes different events and drives.
