Coming soon: loan item machine!
You’ll soon find at Rentukka a rental goods machine, where you can rent various items from sewing machines to textile cleaners and tools. Rental items will no longer be available from Rentukka Info Desk but from a machine operated through the Lainappi app. This way, tenants of Soihtu can easily borrow items by picking them up from the machine at the most suitable time.
The rental goods machine in Rentukka lobby will be available starting from September 1st.

Common rooms’ keys
Key loans for the common rooms in Kortepohja Student Village are handled through Soihtu Housing service point and keybox. Reservations for these rooms will continue to be managed electronically.
Additionally, from Soihtu Housing service point, you can also pick up:
- JYY Student Union membership stickers
- Academic Sports stickers & Rentukka Gym cards for AS members
Since July 1st, 2024, access to the club room has been possible using your own Village Key. Therefore, those who have made a reservation for the club room no longer need to separately pick up a key.
Something new will replace Rentukka Info Desk during autumn 2024. Stay tuned!

Loan & Rent Items
You don’t need to own everything yourself! In Rentukka we have loads of items to loan & rent. We have cleaning equipment, tools and all kinds of fun stuff for free time activities. Loan items are owned by the Tenants’ Committee of Kortepohja Student Village and all Soihtu’s tenants and JYY’s members can loan and rent them. Some of the loan items can be picked up 24/7 from other facilities in Rentukka.
Starting in September 2024, loan and rent items can be borrowed from the rental goods machine located in the Rentukka lobby. The machine operates with the Lainappi app.

If there is no price mentioned, then loan of that equipment is free of charge.
Outdoor table tennis’ rackets and balls can be found from Bubble in building B (tenants can enter with their own Village Key).
PARKING IN RENTUKKA
Parking lots for visitors can be found between building C and T (5 spots) and next to building H there is parking for disabled visitors (4 spots). Address is Taitoniekantie 9.
Also parking lot for visitors of the Student Village at Emännäntie (drive through Laajavuorentie-Tietoniekantie).
