Would you like to help international students to find employment in Finland? Would you like to help them integrate to Jyväskylä? Do you have wonderful ideas how the employers could meet motivated and professional students? We have an excellent opportunity for you to design and organize a new employment event targeted JYU’s international degree students. Additionally, you will work with interesting stakeholders and an amazing team.
We are looking for a coordinator for new employment event for international students. The event will be organized in the beginning of 2021. The working hours are roughly 20 hours per month and the total compensation paid for the coordinator is 1000 euros. The work is set to start immediately after the recruitment for the position is finalized.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and organizing the event with the team
- Recruiting and coordinating the volunteers
- Seeking out for and networking with the stakeholder groups
- Composing and following the budget
- Reporting about the event

Desirables
- Experience in organizing events, project work, communication and/or managing groups
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Initiative and innovativeness

- Cultural sensitivity and competence to work in a multicultural environment
Considered as an advantage:
- International experience, such as exchange abroad
- Capability of speaking, writing and/or understanding Finnish
- Understanding the field of the recruitment possibilities of international degree students
