Ghibli Appro first volunteer meeting
Tuesday, 17th of January, at Ilokivi Venue, at 4pm-6pm
This year JYYbelong is organizing a Japanese themed event week Ghibli Appro 2023 in March 13.3.-17.3.!
Do you want to join us in creating the most amazing Appro event? You will get valuable experience in event planning and be part of an incredible volunteer team. You will have the opportunity to create event with other students. If you wish, you can receive a certificate for volunteering.
We will have our first meeting for the Ghibli Appro 2023 volunteers, on Tuesday, 17th of January, at Ilokivi Venue, at 16-18.

JYYbelong speedfriending
Join us for an easy and fun way to get to know other students from different disciplines and backgrounds at our cross-disciplinary speed friending events.

Baking nights
Let’s bake together every month! By volunteering, you get the chance to plan what we bake with other students and organise a baking night. Baking evenings are held at Boombox Musica once a month.

Art Club
Every Tuesday, 6-8 pm
University Library Lähde, room B248 (Väite)
Join us every Tuesday from 6-8pm at JYYbelong Art Club, where we come together to explore our creativity and passion for art!
Each week, we’ll have a new theme to draw inspiration from, but you’re also free to create whatever you wish. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced artist, all students are welcome to join us at room B248 at University Library.
Basic art supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own too! Best of all, it’s completely free and no previous art experience is required. See you there!
Ghibli Appro
To get a Ghibli Appro jumpsuit badge, you must attend three Ghibli film screenings or three workshops or a total of three workshops/Ghibli film screenings.
The films cost €6-8, the workshops €3-7 and the concert €10-12. The films are in Japanese with subtitles in Finnish. The workshops are held in English and they’re a great place to get to know other students!

The premises of the Student House Ilokivi, including Ilokivi Venue and restaurant Ilokivi, have been renovated to be accessible in the 2017 major renovation. More information about the accessibility can be found from our website here.
