JYY’s Council of Representatives has decided in their meeting yesterday to support the campaign aiming for the renewal of the current Trans Act in Finland. Kuuluu kaikille! is a campaign promoting gender self-determination. The campaign is supported by many NGO’s and human right organizations.
The current Trans Act violates human rights in many ways. A complete renewal of this act is needed so that the rights of those in gender reassignment process actualize and that their well-being is supported. Gender self-determination belongs to everyone.
