JYY is nominating Habibur Rahman for the SYL board for 2026. The decision was made in the Representative Council’s meeting on September 17th, 2025.
“I’m applying for the SYL Board 2026 to bring the voice of international students into the national debate because they are a vital part of Finland’s future. Together, we can build bridges, create solutions, and ensure no student is left behind”, Rahman says.
“As JYY it’s a joy to nominate Habib for the SYL board. I know that Habib can bring valuable information to SYL’s advocacy work through his unique experience of Finnish university studies”, says the Chair of JYY’s board Venla Suosalo.
This year Rahman is working on the JYY board as the board member responsible for international affairs.
The members of the SYL board will be elected in the general assembly in November.
