NAME THE STUDENT VILLAGE’S RECYCLING CENTRE

JYY and Kortepohja Student Village Tenants’ Council bring the recycling center back to Kortepohja! The center will be located in building P and students can bring the things they don’t need anymore for recycling or pick up something for themselves. What should be the recycling center’s new name? APPLY FOR A 5-WEEK ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME ’DISCOVERY TUESDAY’
Application deadline May 5
Discovery Tuesday is a 5-week programme where start up-enthusiasts and people interested in entrepreneurship get to create and develop business ideas in the guidance of experienced entrepreneurs. Discovery Tuesday programme is organised for the 5th time and consists of five meetings on consecutive Tuesdays in September-October 2019.
The programme is open for everyone and no previous entrepreneurial experience is required. There is also a possibility to get 2-5 ECTS credits.

YARD FLEA MARKET

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Many of the Village tenants are moving during the summer, so now is the best time to get rid of the things you don’t need anymore. Come sell your stuff at the Village yard sale, find something nice for yourself or just enjoy the atmosphere! We’ll have also a Green Plant Flea Market during the day.

CITY BIKING TRAINING
Mon 29.4. at 18, start in front of the university library
This training, offering you information about smart city biking, is open for everyone. The training consists of a short discussion together and then biking in the city center with own bikes. Come and learn!

JYY AND JAMKO’S VAPPU
30.4.-1.5.2019 Kirkkopuisto and Harju
Once again, Vappu in Kirkkopuisto and picnic in Harju. Minna Canth’s statue will get the student cap in the Kirkkopuisto at 5pm. The winners of the Amazing Race contest will also be published. Puhkupillit is in charge of the music. The best Vappu afterparty is organized in Restaurant Freetime that opens its doors at 9pm!

Again it’s time for traditional Sauna Appro in Kortepohja Student Village! Come and join us for the ultimate sauna experience and cleanse yourself from all the vappu partying and be comforted by the fact that the party doesn’t end just yet. Tenants’ Council is taking care that no one is hungry and Lillukka’s doors will be open for free hang-out!

JYVÄSKYLÄ’S 9TH BICYCLE PARADE
Sat 4.5. 13-14, starting from Kompassi at Kävelykatu
In this fun and relaxed free event, people cycle at a steady pace along the streets of Jyväskylä. There’s live music and different kind of bicycles in the parade! Together we can promote biking for everyone. You can also join with your subject association.
