MEETING OF THE SUBCOMMITTEE FOR DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION
Tuesday 11th of September at 16:15 Halonen, Ilokivi
Summer is coming to an end and it’s time to rejoin and refocus on all things JYY/JYU, our subcommittee being one of those. Everyone, old or new, who is interested in development cooperation, subcommittee participation, fair trade, sustainable development and so on, is welcome to join our meetings and our group. We will be drawing and rewarding the winner of our development cooperation quiz.

SELF-SUFFICIENT CITY 2030 – IDEA CONTEST

HIERAKKA-project announces an open contest with a theme Self-sustainable city 2030, directed to higher education students. We are looking for innovative ideas enabling sustainable living and working in the future city. The idea must advance the city’s nutrient cycle, circular economy and environmental protection. The idea can be technical, economic, social or commercial and it doesn’t yet have to be a ready concept. The best idea wins 1000€. Results of the contest are published on 19.11.

JYY’s awesome sports tutors coordinate groups, where the goal is to get to know different sport activities around Jyväskylä in a nice company. There are different kinds of groups for those looking for exercising company and motivation, those interested in ballgames or bodyweight training, and so on.

UNISOUND REHEARSALS

UniSounds is the fun, informal, international choir of the University of Jyväskylä, meant for getting to know people and folk music from around the world. Members can bring songs from their own countries and teach them to the others. No auditions or previous experience required, everyone is welcome!
