New semester in the University of Jyväskylä begins on August 1st. At the same day the registration data has been sent to student card provider Frank.
After you have been registered for the academic year, you can order a student card from frank.fi starting on August 1st. Do note that there can be some delay, if your data has not yet reached Frank wait a day or two.
All degree students need to register for the academic year. The deadline for registration was on July 31st. If you have not yet registered, see instructions here.
Yearly your plastic student card needs a validation sticker. You can collect one starting on August 1st from JYY central office (Ilokivi) or from August 5th onwards from Rentukka info desk. Check sites for opening hours.
Also note that FrankApp is a free student card on your mobile phone. It doesn’t need a sticker and you only need your name, student number and a clear digital photo to register. See https://www.frank.fi/en/
