JYY starts selling lunch tickets again with a development cooperation extra in February 2018 in the Ilokivi student restaurant. From every lunch purchased with a development cooperation extra 0,20€ is donated to the Red Cross’ Help them to get back on their feet -campaign that supports civilians who have got injured in the Syrian war. A large portion of the injured consists of children and young people. By purchasing a lunch ticket with the development cooperation extra you help the victims of war to take part in play, education and work.
The Syrian war has brought about one of the greatest humanitarian crisis of our times. Nearly 3 million people have already got injured. The Red Cross offers help in the rehabilitation centres of Aleppo and Damascus. With the help of the donations the disabled receive physiotherapy, prostheses and psychological support.
