MUSEOLOGY SEMINAR 2018

The seminar is organized by the students of museology from the Department of Music, Art, and Culture at the University of Jyväskylä. This year, the theme of the seminar is cultural heritage of indigenous peoples and its representation and use in the museum field. Attending the seminar is free of charge.

VOLUNTEER AT AMAZING RACE JYVÄSKYLÄ

Amazing Race Jyväskylä 2018 is looking for volunteers! We will offer you a great day organizing a big event. Your duties are very practical, such as putting up structures and working in the check-in and/or info station. You will receive instructions and training before working.

NEPAL NIGHT

JYY Subcommittee for Development Cooperation is arranging a Nepal night in Lyhty building on Thursday 19th of April. The event starts at 17.00 but you can come later as well. Aurora Borealis will tell about their Nepal project and there’s also some Nepalese snacks and a great dance show! Welcome!

VISIT TWO FINNISH FARMS AND CUDDLE CHICKENS!

Organic Food Circle Jolppi and JYY Subcommittee for Environmental Affairs organize a visit to two farms in Uurainen! We’ll visit Oksala farm and their sheep and the chicken in Oikarinlaita farm. We’ll set off at 2pm in the parking lot between Ilokivi and Liikunta building and will be back to Jyväskylä around 6pm. There are 15 available places for the fastest people to sign up!

LCL RY – ASSOCIATION FOR JAPANESE POPULAR CULTURE

LCL ry is an association for everyone interested in Japanese popular culture such as anime, manga and video games. In addition to face-to-face meetings, we organize virtual meetings and con-meetings all around Finland. Every other Thursday we have Animu night in Rentukka.
