SUBCOMMITTEE FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

Subcommittee for International Affairs organizes the first meeting of the year! Excellence in International Affairs competition winners will be rewarded in the meeting. We will also discuss upcoming events and the importance of international activities in 2019. Welcome subject association representatives and everyone interested in internationalizing or developing international activities. Coffee and small snacks are offered.

TUUKKA TERVONEN IS JYLKKÄRI’S NEW EDITOR IN CHIEF
29-year-old Tuukka Tervonen has been appointed as the new editor in chief of the student paper Jylkkäri. This is a dream come true for Tervonen. As an editor in chief, he wants to make Jylkkäri the best student paper in Finland, defend education and students’ status in the society.

WHAT TO DO
JES – TEAM SEARCH 2019
Tuesday, January 22 at 17.30-221. Yritystehdas (Piippukatu 11, tall building in Lutakko)
The JES projects IDEA JKL, Discovery Tuesday and Spotlight Jyväskylä are once again looking for ambitious and creative people to their teams. On Tuesday we are going to arrange Team Application Workshop for each project. Discovery Tuesday’s and IDEA JKL’s workshops will be held in English, which is also the language used in both of the projects. Spotlight-workshop will be held in Finnish.

SNOWBOARD COURSE IN ENGLISH
Tue-Thu 22.-24.1. at 17.45, Laajis
Basics of snowboarding. The course is also for beginners who have never
used or seen skis. The course is in English. Entry fee 28 €.

KOREAN POP DANCE (K-POP) COURSE IN ENGLISH
On Wednesdays 23.1.-20.2., Rytmiikkasali, Liikunta
You will be able to learn what K-pop is as a genre, by learning some
choreographies of K-pop songs. The course will cover only the chorus
choreographies. Entry fee 22 €.
