The chairperson and secretary are expected to have experience of the activities of JYY’s Culture Committee and to have actively participated in the activities of the Culture Committee. In addition, it will be beneficial that applicants are independent, active and familiar with the cultural field.

The chairperson and secretary will be elected at the meeting of the Culture Committee on 18 January 2022 at the Opinkivi sauna.
The duties of the chairperson include:
– planning of committee meetings
– planning agendas for the meetings
– conducting meetings
The duties of the secretary include:
– planning committee meetings in cooperation with the chairperson
– writing memos in meetings
In addition, the chairman and secretary, together with the event producer and JYY’s board of directors for culture, will participate in:
– planning and brainstorming for future events
– liaising with partners
– the practical implementation of the events
– developing the activities of the Committee on Culture
