MINNA’S JOURNEY
Vappu and Minna join forces from April 16th to May 1st.
Vappu is the best time for students, so why not join Minna’s journey through Jyväskylä’s first interdisciplinary Vappu?
On Minna’s journey, you’ll travel through student organization events, collecting stamps in your passport. At the end of the journey, the first 750 participants at the Harju picnic will receive the epic Minna overall badge.
So gather your travelling companions and pack your Vappu spirit! Come and pick up your appropass for Minna’s Journey:

16.4. Wappu Friend Speed Friending

Wappukaveri Speed Friending is a low-threshold way to get to know other higher education students. Speed Friending takes the form of bingo, so you can jump in at any time during the evening.

Welcome to play and get to know students from different disciplines in an interdisciplinary way! For the Wappu Edition, you can bring the most terrible games you have to play. You are also allowed to bring Monopoly.

22.4. Vappu Kickstart

Organiser: JAMKO in cooperation with JYY
Ready for Vappu? Good, because so are we! JAMKO is organising an Vappu Kickstart event in Jyväskylä’s Kirkkopuisto on 22.4. at 5 p.m. – 20 p.m.
The event will feature hanging out, music and many stands and tents, including a bouncy castle and Sinebrychoff’s tent. You can try your luck at Twister if you want! Lucky’s will also be open for students by our event area, offering student-priced drinks for the thirsty ones. So come and join us for an interdisciplinary Vappu and get a stamp on your Minnan matka pass!
The event will continue in London from 22.00 onwards, with a continuation of the “Fishy Business” from Throwback!
23.4. Syrinx’s interdisciplinary yard game picnic

Syrinx’s interdisciplinary yard game picnic will be held on April 23rd from 5.30 p.m. to 9.oo p.m. in Mattilanniemen puisto. You can come and play various yard games such as mölkky, kyykkä or a throwing game or just sit down for a picnic. The event is free for all participants and the picnic works on a bring-your-own-food basis. The event is also part of Minna’s journey and by participating in the event you can get also get a stamp on your pass.
25.4. Nefa’s vappu yardgames

Nefa is once again organizing its yearly wappu yard games! We’ll play different yard games in a relaxed atmosphere at the Seminaarenmäki sports field. Put on your overalls (and weather-appropriate clothing) and bring a happy Wappu spirit with you!
The event follows Nefa’s safer space principles that can be found on our website.

An urban steering competition for higher education students with a Vappu spirit. The competition takes place in teams of 4, who go around different checkpoints. There is a capacity of 150 teams!

Come and be enchanted… Queer Night’s Dream invites you to a dreamy summer evening. The evening will feature burlesque and drag performances and DJ music.

We’re putting the cap on Uno one more time! The programme includes a performance by the University of Jyväskylä Brass Orchestra Puhkupillit, Vappu speeches and – of course – putting the cap on Uno.

It’s time to end this year’s vappu with a picnic and listen to the Vappukuulutus! for the last time this Vappu. There will also be music on the Harju and students will be interviewed again.
