Apply for Wappu Comittee!
Vappu. That brilliant little spot of light at the end of the tunnel. Though winter feels bleak and stormy, spring slowly arrives, bringing with it singing little birds and blooming roadsides. And what would Vappu be without great student events!
The committee will be responsible for part of the production of these JYY’s Vappu events:
- Planning the checkpoints and practical arrangements for the Amazing Race Jyväskylä (ARJ) on the day of the event. The
- Planning decorations and practical arrangements for the Queer Summer Night Dream night on the day of the event
- Planning the programme and practical arrangements for the JYY Vappu Party at Freetime on the day of the event (JYY Vappu Party is only a working name, it can be changed)
When you apply to join the committee, you can indicate what kind of event you would like to organise. The committee will be organised during February. The used languages at the Wappu Committee are Finnish and English.
No previous experience in event organisation is required, the only criterion is membership of JYY. The JYY Event Producer and the Board Member of Events and Cultures will assist the Wappu Committee throughout the spring. Matias Penttala will act as the Wappu Committees’s leader.
The application is open until 19 February at 11:55 pm. Those selected will be notified the following day, 20 February, by e-mail.
