Swimming at 12:00-13:30
In swimming, you practice the basic techniques of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, as well as being in the water. Breathing techniques, relaxation in the water, and floating play an important part.
Where: Pitkäkatu 2, Aaltoalvari. 25-meter pool.
Equipment: Swimsuit and swimming goggles.
Synchronized swimming at 13:30-14:30
In synchronized swimming, small-scale choreography is practiced to the beat of a hit song. During the lesson, we will learn the basics of synchronized swimming and its basic movements, which will be presented in choreography. The sport is suitable for everyone who wants to expand their own sports repertoire, have fun and challenge their body control and power generation ability. Come challenge yourself and grab a friend with you!
Where: Pitkäkatu 2, Aaltoalvari. 50-meter pool (lanes 7 and 8 deep end).
Equipment: Swimsuit and swimming goggles. A nose clip can be useful but not obligatory.
Diving at 15:00-16:00
In diving, basic jumps are practiced according to one’s own skill level from the springboard and from three and five meters. Twists, skills, and smooth going into the water, and possibly even volts are part of the workout’s main themes.
Where: Pitkäkatu 2, Aaltoalvari. 25-meter pool.
Equipment: Swimsuit.
Participation in swimming, synchronized swimming, and diving requires basic swimming skills. You should be able to swim at least 100 meters continuously.
