Low-barrier, free guidance, and support to all enrolled students in various forms and methods i.e. wellbeing courses, face-to-face individual or group support counseling/guidance, online services as well as self-evaluation and self-help options.

Goodies – Student Well-Being Advisers
The Goodie well-being advisers are there for you when you need someone to talk to. They are University staff members, who have been selected and trained to support the well-being of students. Remember that even though goodies are there to help you, they are not therapists or psychologists.
The Student Compass Well-Being Program
The Student Compass (Opiskelijan Kompassi in Finnish) is a web-based well-being and life skills program offering practical tools for enhancing psychological and emotional well-being, addressing motivation challenges, adjustment, stress-related issues, and promoting overall well-being.

University Chaplain
Talking helps. You can discuss any matters that distress you with the university chaplain regardless of your worldview and beliefs. Conversations are confidential and free of charge.

Nyyti ry promotes students’ mental health by providing versatile information and activities about mental well-being and coping with everyday life while studying.
Nyyti services include (among others):
Crisis Centre Mobile for 24/7 support
To get help in crises related to life situations and trauma contact the Crisis Centre Mobile for 24/7 support. Crisis Centre Mobile helps for example if you have experienced a shocking situation, feel alone with your problems, or wish to talk with a professional helper.

Finnish Student Health Service FSHS
For treatment need assessments and appointments, degree students can contact FHSH. If you are an exchange student, you can not use FSHS.

If FHSH is closed: During business days the primary place to contact is your local municipal health care center from Monday to Thursday between 8.00 and 16.00, and on Fridays between 9.00 and 16.00.
In the evenings and at weekends contact the joint emergency duty service of Central Finland Central Hospital.
