Rental spaces are available for members of Student Union as well as for associations and clubs working with JYY.
Spaces for leisure
Ilokivi
The common room and the lunchroom of Student House Ilokivi are both available for rent.
Lillukka
The refurnished Lillukka is suitable for sits fests, birthday parties and educational events up to 48 persons. Lillukka can be reserved via online booking system.
Meeting rooms
Ilokivi
There are several conference rooms in Student House Ilokivi that the students may utilize for free: a cabinet (Koivisto) and the rear of Cafeteria Ilokivi (Halonen). You may also book the whole Cafeteria area for bigger events.
Rentukka
In July 2019 opens a new meeting room Bertta in Kortepohja Student Village. The meeting room for 12 people is located right next to Rentukka, in B-building’s 9th floor. In this modern meeting room you can organize meetings and small parties. Among meetings it’s also possible to relax in cozy lounge or balcony with an amazing view to Laajavuori. Right next to the meeting room you can find rental sauna Bastu. Bastu and Bertta can be booked together or separately.
From Rentukka you can also find a Club room, which is designed with the different recreational clubs of Kortepohja in mind, and the room lends itself to many uses. A projector, a screen and a game console allow you to plan a game or movie night with friends or have a basic meeting. The club room can accommodate max. 20 people. Tenants of the Student Village can book the room via Tenant’s online booking system and other JYY members can contact Rentukka’s Info Desk for reservations.
Saunas
Opinkivi
Opinkivi building on Seminaarinmäki Campus is an excellent venue for relaxed sauna nights and more official conferences alike. The premises are designed for maximum of 50 people.
The sauna is divided in two separate areas by a movable wall. Yet, the wall is thin enough to enable conversation between the two sides.
Rental sauna Bastu
In July 2019 opens a new rental sauna Bastu in Kortepohja Student Village. The rental sauna is located right next to Rentukka, in B-building’s 9th floor.
Bastu can accommodate up to 12 people. Cozy and modern sauna offers gentle baths and in lounge area you can enjoy refreshments, company of your friends and a nice view to Laajavuori.
Right next to Bastu you can find meeting room Bertta, which is perfect for meetings and small parties. Bastu and Bertta can be booked together or separately.
Booking guidelines for university premises
Organisations registered with JYY can reserve university premises for their activities. For their actual activities (meetings, training courses), organisations can reserve any university premises directly through the KOVS system. In addition, the University offers three rooms for evening events free of charge.
