Do you like vegetarian food? How are your recycling skills? Are you an experienced borrower (of something other than student loans)? By completing this ‘Eco Certificate’, in addition to feeling good about your everyday eco-friendly acts you can also get an overalls patch!
The Eco Certificate (similarly to e.g. Fuksipassi, or ‘freshman pass’) is completed as follows: complete some tasks listed, present the evidence (pictures/videos) to the Eco Certificate inspector (e.g. environmental representative) of your association and get your patch. The tasks listed are loosely environment- / sustainability-themed (e.g. ‘bike to campus’, ‘mend a sock’), and you can complete them in your day-to-day life at your own pace 🙂 Participation is free for members of JYY!
You can sign up to complete the interdisciplinary ‘Eco Certificate’ through Kide.app between Wed 7.10. and Wed 21.10. ; if you haven’t signed up and want to get a patch for completing, do this first!
Download the task list through this link (pdf). You must complete at least 15 of the tasks by Christmas at the latest (NB: some associations may have earlier deadlines – make sure to check this from your own association’s infos!). Max. three (3) of these can be ‘your choice’ ones (mentioned at the end of the list)! Feel free to interpret and make the tasks your own! However, take e.g. a photo / video / screenshot as evidence of each one, and gather them all in e.g. one file on your phone (this makes checking it later on easier).
Once you’ve completed at least the min. 15 of the tasks, you can present the evidence & pick up your patch from the person responsible for the Eco Certificate of your (chosen) association (e.g. environmental representative).
NB! There are differences between associations in who / where you can pick up your patch from and when, so check from your own association!
