JYY organizes a wide range of interdisciplinary events for its members, including casual game nights, club activities, and May Day celebrations that attract hundreds of students. All activities follow safer space principles and foster an inclusive student culture.

Annual events

JYY’s event programme includes several annual events that have long-standing traditions in Jyväskylä’s student culture and bring students together throughout the academic year.

Club activities

JYY’s clubs are student-run leisure and hobby communities that offer diverse opportunities for involvement alongside studies. The clubs are open to all members of the Student Union.

All events and leisure activities organised by JYY comply with safer space principles and are designed to promote an equal and inclusive student culture.

JYY organizes a wide range of student events throughout the year, offering opportunities to meet new people and become part of the vibrant student community in Jyväskylä. The Student Union’s annual celebrations take place every March, while the spring semester concludes with a series of May Day events known as Minna’s Journey. In the autumn, the programme includes highlights such as the Opening Fair, Sports Appros, and Horror Appros.

The event calendar features both events organised by JYY and interdisciplinary events arranged by other student associations across the Jyväskylä region, providing diverse ways to participate in student life.
